Scooter rider crushed to death by state bus at Chingrighata, locals protest on spot

A scooter rider died on the spot after being hit and run over by a state bus at Chingrighata around noon on Sunday. The rider was travelling from Shantinagar towards Garia and was merging onto the EM Bypass when the accident occurred.

The bus hit the scooter, throwing the rider off, and then ran over his head, leading to instant death. Following the incident, locals gathered at the spot and launched a protest, surrounding the police and demanding action. The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed.
